A few weeks ago we celebrated my mother-in-laws 90th birthday. What a wonderful time we had! Most of the family was able to make it and those that couldn’t were greatly missed. All together Tom & Anne had 6 children, 27 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. What a legacy! She’s fun, sharp witted and kind. I couldn’t ask for a better mom-in-law. Love you!
Most of my family loves to write, several of them make their living or are going to school to make their living using the craft of writing. We are also a very verbal family, we love to chat, joke, talk, sing, debate, preach, teach, argue and edify. Even my 9 month old granddaughter, instead of snuggling, would rather me smile, giggle and talk baby talk to her. In a household of 9 (plus nearby relatives and in-laws) that adds up to a lot of confusion, conversation, debate and did I mention noise, lots and lots of noise! Sometimes all that noise gets jumbled up in my brain and the best way to sort it all out is to write. Shift through it all and record the worthwhile within the collection, determine the good and noble from amongst the common, and most importantly be inspired to seek out the spiritual from the worldly. Shift it, define and refine it then send it back out so that it can hopefully challenge, change or motivate myself or someone else for the better. So, I hope to add regularly to this collection of thoughts, ideas, questions and observations in order to record some of what goes on in this busy, noisy, wonderful household and trust that it will help organize my ideals, edify my readers and glorify Christ. That is the vision that goes forward with this blog, hope you like what comes out.
